Town of Oyster Bay 2025 Survey

The Town of Oyster Bay has released a 2025 Survey. The Local civics are urging all residents to respond—either online or by mail—and to express a clear and firm stance on Question 7, which concerns proposals by energy companies to install Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in our Town.

We strongly encourage you to voice your complete opposition to these potentially hazardous storage facilities, and to urge the Town to enact legislation that fully bans such installations throughout the Town of Oyster Bay.

Please respond either online:

Current Priority:

New York State is putting all area residents at risk by fast tracking the approval of two interconnected power projects without knowing their long-term health and safety impact.

The Civics' efforts opposing the two power projects have already and will continue to incur expenses. Donations enabling the Civics to advance our community goals of health and safety are needed and will be greatly appreciated. Please follow the link below to enable donations via Zelle or personal check.

Note: The Community Association of GH-GWL is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Donations are tax deductible.
